Body Scales©
Body Scales© is centered on musicians’ wellness designed specifically with the concept that our bodies are our instruments, and like athletes, we need to train our bodies and minds to their fullest potential to practice efficiently and prevent injury for optimal performance. Body Scales© can be taught as an ongoing class, workshop series, or tailored to as a one to one offering. The following topics are the basis for teaching tools and exercises to practice separately from and sometimes integrated with the musical instrument:
Identification of general anatomy
Identify how the body affects our individual applied instrument and vice versa
Prepare, maintain, and free the body and mind for optimal performance and practice sessions
Identify individual postural patterns
Demonstrate healthy seated and standing postures
Address performance anxiety with healthy tools
Demonstrate knowledge of injury prevention specific to musicians
Address efficient practice techniques and performance plan
Identify individual patterns of stress and apply tools for individual needs
Compose an individual Body Scales (individualized routines)
